Steging Cook’s painting Plant was recognized with the 2025 Award for Narrative Excellence by The National Oil & Acrylic Painter’s Society. Susan was also accepted into the MN State Fair Show, as were many of my other clients!

“I had wonderful news from the Oil Painters of America! In Winter was juried into the OPA September 11th to October 11th Eastern Regional show at the Beverly McNeil Gallery in Birmingham Alabama.

In Winter received an Award of Excellence from the 2025 National Oil & Acrylic Society’s Associate Online Exhibition.

Very pleased that Eisele Gallery sold Nature Morte with House Wrens at the NAOPS Small Works show in July.

Becoming Real is back in its collector’s home after being juried into the Feb/Mar Northern Lights show at the White Bear Center for the Arts and I hope to get the news that it will be heading off to NYC to the NTD International Figure Competition. I should be notified on August 10th of the results of that entry.

Tapestry for an Elk has returned from The International Guild of Realism July show in Santa Fe and is again hanging in its collector’s home.

Mercy More Than Life has returned from the OPA National July show in Florida and has been entered in the 35th NOAPS Best of America show in Indianapolis. Results of that entry will be sent on August 22nd.

It has been fun to visit new and old locations along with my art for these shows. Living in Eastern Minnesota, entering competitions is one way to reach a wider audience for my work alleviating the stress of working alone in my home studio since graduating from The Atelier.
